Repentance ("the app") is a calorie-tracking app. This policy explains what information the app accesses and how it is used. In short: your health data never leaves your device, and the only data collected off-device is what our advertising provider needs to show ads.
With your permission, Repentance reads your active energy burned from Apple Health, so it can reduce the calories you have logged. This data is used only on your device to update the app's display. Repentance never writes to Apple Health, never transmits your health data off your device, and never shares it with anyone, including our advertising provider. Health data is never used for advertising. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app under Privacy → Apps & Services.
Items you log (a name and a calorie figure) are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to any server.
Repentance displays ads through Google AdMob. To do this, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect device identifiers (including the advertising identifier), usage and interaction data, and diagnostic information, and may use them to select and measure ads. You can read Google's practices at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
On first launch the app asks, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether apps may track you. If you are in the UK, EU, or another region that requires it, the app also shows a Google consent form and respects your choice; you can change it any time from the app's Settings under "Manage ad consent." Declining means you may see non-personalised ads or, where required, no ads.
Repentance is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
